As a Medical Specialist in Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery I have daily contact with various people whom are intensly involved with the theme of beauty, health and personal contentment. With my own Facebrush-concept I have the ability to evolve a completely individual therapy method for each patient, to find the best therapy to rejuvenate the faces of my patients. With my modern concepts I can professionally utilize these techniques to achieve the best results.

In the last years parallel to my doctor role I have personally tested several methods to keep the body healthy, fit, and toned. In balance with the seasons one can utilize harmonizing foods, that detoxify, yoga exercises, that tone the body, to hold the body in balance. As a trained yoga teacher I am happy to share with you my acquired knowledge of the indian dynamic. In my studies I have sustained over 360 hours of theorie and practice learning techniques of many well known yoga specialist, including Anna Trökes, Boris Tatzky, Bridget Woods Kramer, Neesha Zollinger, Sarah Kline and Adi Amar.
In this blog I wish to share the multitude of knowledge and experience that I have aquired in the topic of beauty, nutrition, and excercise. The tipps and and motivation will be perfectly synchronized with the seasons.

Keine PIP-Implantate in unserer Praxis
Dear Patients,
Due to the concerns patients have about the PIP-implants and Rofil, I would like to inform my patients that our practice has never used implants from the companies PIP or Rofil.
For those patients who have PIP or Rofil implants we have gathered some further information.
The Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices has suggested as a precaution, to remove implants from the company PIP or Rofil. There is a risk that silicone can leak out of the implants even if there is no tear, thus posing health risks. It is estimated that more than 10,000 women in germany might be affected. Several cases have been reported in Nordhein-Westfallen and Hamburg. An article in the German Medical Journal has stated that the university clinics in Münster and Heidelberg have also used these implants. In these clinics there have been hotlines set up for patients who need further information.
The German Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics and other professional societies, have also recommended the explantation of these silicone implants. (www.dggg.de)

A new Hyaluron product for intensifying lip moisture and preventing fine wrinkles
The cold winter season continues, the air is dry and unfortunately also our skin. We can combat this process by using a new Hyaluron therapy. It supports the skin from within in form of a internal face mask, binding moisture. This new therapy holds over many months, thus permanently holding the moisture levels of our skin in check. We use various products produced by the company Restylane, known since 1990's and it ever increasing status. Their line of hyaluronacid includes, Hyaluronacid Restylane Light and a new product of the Restylane Family, Restylane Lip Refresh. We are the first praxis utlilzing and testing the newest product. The benefits of this new version of hyaluronacid will allow us to improve skin that have become leathery due to dryness and sun exposure. With the finest of needles one can inject between the Epidermis and the Dermis in such a way that it coats the inner layer of skin thus reducing or eliminating the fine wrinkles.

Welcome to the year of the dragon - with the green dragon detox drink
After the holidays and probably way to many sweets or perhaps you have simply strayed from your typical diat plan our cells can benefit from a detox. One of the best ways to accomplish this is to mix yourself a "Green Detox Shot" TO flood your body with healthy fress plant cells after all of that "beige" foods for example cookies cakes, pies, wheat products.
Green Detox Shot
In the winter months I like to use:
1 packed cup of Kale
6 to 7 leaves of mangold
2-3 sticks of celery
1 pear or apple
1 3cm in diameter piece of ginger (peeled)
A squeeze of lemon
In a juicer press all ingredients through
Serve in small glasses if wished or, drink throughout the day in a thermos at work. Enjoy the detox Juice between meals or to replace a meal.
In doing this you supply your body with fresh cells with Chlorphyll, Viatmin C, Minerals and many, many more Substances that our bodies are deprived of in this time of year.

Tips for rosy, fresh skin in Winter
The temperatures are dropping, the air becomes drier, the skin gets tighter, and we notice increasingly more and more dry flaky patches. You can, however, support the natural process of the skin regeneration and renewal.
The slow introduction with Abrahydriabrasio and hydrating, rejuvination products of the ProWera care series out of the USA is, in our opinion, a perfect start to prepare the skin for deeper peelings.
Exclusively for our patients we have won the support of Skinvela for Medical Skintreatment. We use the products from the american company ProWera care series for before and after our therapies. In connection we would like to present Heike Sanchez-Meier the director of the treatment center Skinvela. The combination treatments are immediatly effective, with great results.
In the cold time of the year one can pamper the skin with warming therapy, for example, the latest infrared technology. The infrared warms the Collagen, relaxing the fibrils, leading an effect that the skin regain it's youthful structure naturally.
In the Aging process the collagen fibrils shorten causing crosslinks, that then can be diminished through the warming of the infrared treatment. Another positive effect is that the collagen production gets positively stimulated.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Today in my Homeland America, is Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is one of the most significant holidays, bringing family and circles of friends together. New acquaintances, friends who can't make the trip to family, are also welcomed.
Traditionally turkey and wonderful autumn side dishes like sweet potatoes, corn bread, pumpkin pie are served.
According to the Ayurveda science this time of the year is called Vata-season, a cold and dry period. One thinks of the dry leaves falling from the trees. Also people are not shielded from natures influential changes.

Using warming spices in combination with colorful vegetables and fruit that have ripened in the summer sun can give strength to our bodies for the cold months to come.
I would like to present some recipes often served for Thanksgiving but can also be served at any celebration dinner as a side dish. The dishes balance the time of year, cultivate our rootedness, and ground us.
Maple-Sweet potatoes
Ingredients:
4 sweet potatoes
4 Tbs maple syrup
150 ml almond or oat milk
Pepper, Salt, Nutmeg, to taste.
Preperation:
Poke sweet potatoes with a fork , place in a preheated (180° C) oven. Bake about 1 hour. Remove from oven and let cool, then remove the peels & discard. In a mixer or food processor, blend the remaining ingredients thoroughly, adding the cooked sweet potatoes in the end pureeing till smooth. Serve warm.
This dish fits well to goose, turkey, or duck, and of course to any vegetarian meal.
Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients for the filling:
500 ml pumpkin
2-3 eggs
50 g brown sugar
2 EL maple syrup
1 TL ginger powder und 1/2 Tsp freshly grated ginger
1 package of vanilla sugar
1 TL cinnamon
1/2 TL each of ground nutmeg, cloves
Combine all ingredients well and set aside.
Ingredients for the crust:
Here I like to use:
50g grahm cracker crumbs
75 g Millet* wholemeal flour (if not available or in combination with :wheat flour or spelt flour can be used) arriving at a flour weight of 250g
125 g soft butter
1 egg
Mix dry ingredients. Add butter and egg and mix together till just combined. Press into a pie form pressing the sides up to make a crust rim.*
*For better results, pie crust can be baked for 10 minutes before adding filling.
Fill with pie filling and bake at 180* for 40 minutes. Filling should be firm when shaken lightly.
*Millet is packed full of important minerals, for example, zinc, magnesium, and iron, all of which are essential for healthy: bones, hair, nails, joints, and skin.

11.11.11 - Beginning of the Aquarian age
Right on time for the new Aquarian age we want to present you with our new FACEBRUSH-BLOG, with the intention of combining mainstream medicine with alternative medicine. Our main focus concentrating on aesthetic procedures, rejuvenation, and detoxification.
Today I would like to share a warming drink for the cold winter season - a spicy Pumpkin-Autumn-Drink.
In the autumn the leaves fall, nature prepares for the winter slumber… In this time seasonal as well as regional foods, for example squash, pumpkin, and carrots, in combination with nutmeg can be used to influence calming of the nervous system, and encourage inner warmth. In addition yellow and orange vegetables contain Betacarotin very necessary for wound healing, cell regeneration, and rejuvenation.
The base of this drink is a puree from ripe yellow or orange pumpkin. (Acorn, butternut, or Hokkaido)
Ingredients:
½ cup of Pumpkin Puree
1 ½ cup of almond milk
1/8 tsp. of nutmeg
1/8 tsp. cloves
¼ tsp. ginger (finely minced or grated if fresh)
¼ tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp Agaven or Maple Syrup
A small pinch of salt
A small pinch of Curcuma
Directions:
1) If using fresh Pumpkin bake at 200*C for 30 minutes. Remove the cooked pumpkin from the skin if needed and puree. In a pot mix all ingredients and bring to a boil stirring often. Turn off heat and serve warm. Top with a dash of cinnamon.
2) If using canned pumpkin mix all ingredients and bring to a boil, stirring often. Serve warm.
